Dragons 3 – the hidden world : a suite can it see the light of day ?

So that comes out at the cinema the last part of the trilogy Dragons, as envisioned his director, Dean DeBlois, is already raising the question of a possible sequel. We have asked the question in the main proceedings concerned. Warning, this article contains spoilers about Dragons 3 – the hidden world. Almost 10 years after the beginning of the adventure, director Dean DeBlois closing his fantastic trilogy Dragons: The hidden world, finally visible at the cinema. In this final component, Harold and Astrid discover the existence of a world where dragons wild live in prosperity. While Krokmou, the Fury night that he had met a few years before, meeting a Fury flash, there then arises the question of its taming. The heart of the animal is shared between two choices : a life of liberty among his people, as king of the dragons, or stay with the inhabitants of Berk, and his friend of always. “An ideal ending because it is a mature and sincere” And it is in a scene too shocking that the chief of the village decides to go his freedom to Krokmou. Just as the Berkiens with their gronks, their nightmares monster and other dragons viper. Harold then makes this replica an especially striking : “Our world do not deserve”. Indeed, it is the logical conclusion to which arrives the heroes, but also the viewer at the end of this trilogy. After having fought various fighters and enemies, the conclusion is without appeal : their worlds can’t coexist. “We have created a world in which we knew that they could not live in harmony for eternity,” explains the producer Brad Lewis. “We had imagined a universe in which humans had dragons as well as the relationship between a fierce dragon and a young man who has not yet the makings of a leader. Together, they would become unstoppable. But that couldn’t last forever. For us, this was not true to the reality that we had imagined. Dragons 3 is an ideal ending because it is a mature and sincere.” Universal Pictures International France Dragons 3 ends logically by a small jump in time : Berk lives in autarky without the dragons, Harold and Astrid are married and parents of two children. In the same way that Stoïk revealed to his son the existence of the dragons, the viking was keen to show his offspring than these creatures are not only a legend and that he should not fear them. And when we see that Krokmou has not forgotten Harold, we say that the franchise Dragons is not buried for good and it might come back one day (perhaps with the descendants of our two heroes ?). We wanted to ask the question to the director of the trilogy, Dean DeBlois, during his visit to Paris on the 30th of January last : “I have always loved stories in which two characters are completely different come together and mutually influence each other. Even if their paths will separate at the end, they will never be the same after this meeting. So yes, it has something bitter-sweet but you know what ? This is the life. There are people who come into our lives and that the changes are inexorable. It is that I wanted to tell with this trilogy. In the three films, with all of the characters, the worlds, and the dragons that we have met, I hope that this universe will boom.” Its producer, Brad Lewis, even goes a little further by speaking to us of a possible Dragons 4 : “These are questions that we asked, but we had no pressure. Dean has imagined a trilogy, and Universal the supported. If we talk about production, we have created through these three films, a world that is conceivable. But the story of these characters is beautiful and well finished. We have made a jump in time so we know how they end up. Is it that one can create other characters in the future ? Of course it is possible. But those that one knows.” Interview by Yoann Sardet on the 30th of January in Paris. Draw me… a Fury Lightning bolt : Dragons 3 : draw me… a Fury Lightning
